This year, SOSO Day will be dedicated to the contribution of pediatric dentistry to orthodontics as well as to the enriching links between our two professions. We have the honor of welcoming renowned speakers, at the forefront of their field, from both academic and liberal circles in the exceptional setting of the Cloître des Cordeliers.

Our morning will be devoted to the essential subject of MIH (Incisor Molar Hypomineralization) and HSPM (Hypomineralization of Second Primary Molars). These enamel anomalies impact the quality of life of our patients and complicate our orthodontic treatments with associated bonding difficulties or extractions of immature first molars.
Julia Estivals will present the diagnostic criteria and will return to the proven or supposed etiologies of these hypoplasias, at the heart of her fundamental research work.
Co-authors of the European pediatric recommendations on MIH, Elsa Garot and Patrick Rouas will detail the therapeutic gradient on posterior teeth and the aesthetic management of anterior teeth, as well as the implications for our practice.
Thomas Carat will offer us his orthodontist's view on the extractions of affected first molars.
A roundtable discussion will close the morning, giving everyone the opportunity to ask questions about this common condition and share their experiences.

In the afternoon, with Marie-Pierre Sarracanie Carat , we will explore the traumatized tooth from different aspects. What action to take in an emergency, what impacts on orthodontic treatment? And what is the treatment for cases where serious complications arise? Finally, Camille Boulé-Montpezat will share with us all the facets of her practice as an exclusive pediatric dentist, a valuable complement to our orthodontic interventions.
